From lost and alone to hopeful and prepared: how Wysa helped me find my way. Ivanna’s Story.

Ivanna, a 23-year-old master’s graduate from Tecnológico de Monterrey University in Mexico, began using Wysa when it was offered for free through a partnership with her university. At the time, she was navigating overwhelming stress, anxiety, and uncertainty about her future as graduation approached. Traditional therapy hadn’t been an option due to financial constraints, but Wysa’s accessibility and one-to-one coaching opened a new path to support. It became a space that helped her to feel seen, supported, and ready for what’s next.

“Before using Wysa, I was experiencing feelings of stress and anxiety all of the time. I had considered traditional talk therapies/support, but had never used a digital support tool. I was experiencing a lot of uncertainty about the future because I was about to graduate, and I didn’t know what to do. I felt alone and confused. I initially tried Wysa because it was free, provided to me by my University, and it allowed me to receive 1-1 coaching because my parents don’t support me regarding paying psychologists.”

“I had a few free sessions with a human coach, and during the first couple of sessions I felt like I connected with Asia (my coach), so I kept going. I tried both the text and video coaching, and I felt very comfortable opening up to my coach. She was always prepared, and I liked that she shared summaries at the end of our sessions. It made it so that I could track what I said and the solutions I could try to manage my problems. She helped me with my uncertainty about the future when I was feeling lost and alone. We worked together to create a step-by-step strategy to achieve my goals.”

“On a scale of 1-10, I’d give Wysa a 10 for how much it helped to improve my overall wellbeing. The support I received helped me academically, and using Wysa made me realize that it’s okay to ask for help. I also developed new skills and habits. I used to have trouble setting boundaries, but Wysa helped me to start doing it little by little and now I’m getting much better at it. Wysa also helped me with a lot of sleeping strategies, like creating a nightly routine, journaling, and meditation which have improved my sleep and overall mental health.”
