23-year-old undergrad student, Fernanda*, from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, turned to Wysa during a period of intense stress, loneliness, and social anxiety. Juggling relationship struggles and academic pressures, she was looking for a support system that was flexible, private, and easy to access. Wysa offered just that, available 24/7 and provided free through a university partnership with Tecnológico De Monterrey. For Fernanda, Wysa became a safe space for reflection, growth and support. This is her story.

“When I first started using Wysa, I was going through a tough time. I was dealing with social anxiety and relationship difficulties constantly, and often felt overwhelmed by stress and loneliness. I chose to try Wysa because it was easy to use, available 24/7, and didn’t require in-person sessions, which really suited my schedule. The app was practical. I could talk with it whenever I needed to. I mostly used the toolkits for things like stress and anxiety, and found the reports helpful too. Over time, I developed new habits, like giving myself space to meditate before reacting or connecting with others.”

“I decided to try the one-to-one human coaching because I wanted a more personalized approach to everything I was going through. I was very satisfied with the coaching experience and felt really comfortable with my coach. My coach helped me face a lot of life changes that I honestly don’t think I could have managed alone. Having someone to accompany me during that time helped me quiet that inner voice and made a huge difference in how I coped.”

“Now I’m in a very different place. Wysa helped me realise that we can ask for help and that it’s possible to have a broad support network. I’d describe it as a tool that supports both personal and professional growth, and it’s something I’d definitely recommend to friends who are going through similar challenges. I just wish my university would extend the paid-for package so I could continue using it while I’m still studying.”
