Wysa Celebrates NHS 75th Anniversary

Wysa is proud to work so closely with the NHS through partnerships across the country, and features in a news-style programme produced by ITN Business, ‘Celebrating 75 years of our Health Service’.

Premiered at the NHS Confed Expo in Manchester, the programme celebrates the history, people, challenges and successes of the institution – and looks to the future.

The NHS is embracing digital innovation, and the episode features Dorset & Southampton CCG who have integrated Wysa into their Steps 2 Wellbeing programme, providing interactive referral, self-help support, and the opportunity to track patient progress. Saira Arif, 37 from London has been using Wysa for four years and tells her story of how it has transformed her mental health by being always on and always available, whenever she needs someone to turn to. Wysa’s UK Director of Business & Operations, John Tench, explains why digital health and artificial intelligence is a solution to the mental health crisis that is scalable, effective, and crucially – people want.

Ross O’Brien, Wysa says: “The NHS has always been about supporting people when they need it – and in the modern age is finding new ways to do this, through digital. We’re delighted to be part of their 75th birthday celebrations, and to be playing a part in their future through powerful, scalable and sustainable solutions to provide the best mental health care for all who need it.”

Nina Harrison-Bell, Head of ITN Business, said: “We are delighted to produce a programme to mark this significant milestone for healthcare in the UK. The aim of our programme is to share stories celebrating the rich history and people within our health service and demonstrate how the sector is evolving as it looks toward the future. The programme also showcases the many organisations that are innovating and meeting the challenging needs of a growing population.”
